This is just what Auburn Hills needed!

The HUB Stadium (Home of Urban Bowling) has submitted plans to expand the former Big Buck Brewery building located at 2550 Takata Drive to add a new 300-seat banquet facility designed with a cutting edge “hip, renovated urban warehouse atmosphere” in mind.

It will be called @ … as in “at the HUB.”

The new gathering space will be unique to the marketplace as it will be designed as a cool, urban architectural alternative to the traditional banquet facility.  It will have brick walls, wood block flooring, and large wood trusses juxtaposed with refined interior finishes like crystal chandeliers and state-of-the art technology.  “@” will be a great option for business meetings, large gatherings, and weddings.

Total investment is estimated at $1.1 million.  Construction is expected to begin next month with completion taking place in November – just in time for the holiday season.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, May 22nd.
