There he stands, in front of the goalie, nearly in the crease, getting cross checked by a defenseman and slashed by the goalie in the shins. That’s how Dino Ciccarelli will be remembered during his 19 seasons in the NHL. Dino was Number 22 for the Red Wings from 1992 through 1996 and was inducted into the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010.

Now, Dino has another claim to fame … a great sports bar. Ciccarelli’s Sports Bar Theater, located at 3880 Lapeer, is one of the newer watering holes in Auburn Hills. The reason it’s called a theater is evident as soon as one enters. It has the largest HD television screens in Michigan. They are huge! In addition to the jumbo screens, TVs cover almost every square inch of the walls. If you want to watch sports, this is the place.
They also have an extensive menu, featuring burgers, pizza and wings. There’s live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night and for events at the Palace of Auburn Hills, they offer shuttle bus service.
So, for a hunk of hockey history and to catch up on the latest sports, check out Ciccarelli’s Sports Bar Theater. It’s a winner, just like Dino.
