If you’ve been by the corner of Opdyke Road and Featherstone Road, you may have noticed that something is missing – the Mobil gas station. The old gas station has been demolished to make room for a new, modern ten-pump Mobil gas station/convenience store.
The new 4,000 sq. ft. building will provide residents, employees, and travelers in the area with another option to quickly purchase gas, food, snacks, beverages, and other merchandise.

The much-anticipated grand opening should take place sometime this fall. This development will go a long way in improving the aesthetics of the Opdyke Road Corridor.

When complete, this will be quite the transformation.
An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills by Ghafari Realty Group, LLC for approval to demolish the existing Mobil gas station located at 810 N. Opdyke Road and replace it with an attractive new ten pump gas station and convenience store.

To ensure that the site will be large enough to accommodate the proposed project, Ghafari intends to purchase the vacant parcel to the east of the existing gas station, adjacent to Albert’s Coney Grill, and combine the two properties.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on the application is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, January 22nd.
