The spacious interior of the 26,545 square foot building will be transformed into a social gathering space that will include 16 football-bowling courts with spectating and eating areas, along with two bars, fast casual restaurant, and two private function rooms.  A variety of eating options will be offered at the venue at reasonable prices.  A highlight will be their “show kitchen” which will serve gourmet thin crust pizza baked in a custom stone oven.

Envision intends to open The H.U.B. by the first week of November … just in time for the holiday season.

We wish them much success!

Big Buck Brewery To Be Transformed Into The “HUB”

Posted by – Steve Cohen, Director of Community Development

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.  After almost 10 years of vacancy and neglect, the former Big Buck Brewery building will see new life.

An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills to transform the dilapidated building, located at 2550 Takata Drive, into a “football-bowling” entertainment venue anticipated to be named the “HUB.”  The interior will include 16 courts with spectating and eating areas, along with two bars, fast casual restaurant, and two private function rooms.

You may be wondering … what is football-bowling?  The key to this unique game is to knock down bowling pins with a football, while having tons of fun hanging out with friends and family.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearing at the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, September 26th.

Look for more details in the weeks ahead.
