An application has been submitted by Rapid Shred for approval to construct a 21,050 square foot light industrial building on a 2.24 acre parcel of land located west of Opdyke Road, between Pontiac Road and Walton Boulevard.
The proposed Rapid Shred site is situated just south of Alfoccino’s restaurant.
Rapid Shred offers both off-site and on-site shredding services. The new structure will be designed for the security and operational needs of document destruction. It will also be large enough to store all of Rapid Shred’s trucks and bundled materials inside the building.

The total investment in the project is estimated at $1.1 million. Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2017 and be complete by October 2017. The company currently has six employees in Auburn Hills and intends to add four new positions once this new facility becomes operational.
