With a public opening scheduled for this Saturday, July 9th, Michigan By The Bottle (MBTB) Owners, Shannon and Cortney Casey are putting the final touches on their new wine bar in Downtown Auburn Hills. Here’s a peek into this great new space – complete with outdoor seating area.
The new light-filled tasting room offers wine tasting flights from twelve Michigan-based partner wineries, small bites for a nominal fee to pair with the wines and take-home wine sales by the bottle. You’ll also find Michigan-made snacks and products for purchase.
Enjoy special events like wine education workshops, art exhibits, their Book & Bottle Club, live music and as a special treat once or twice a year, Michigan By The Bottle will host an art class with Stephanie Schlatter, an artist from Grand Rapids.
Most well-known for her ‘On The Michigan Wine Trail’ series, Stephanie’s art classes focus on individual interests; it is not a paint-by-number project. Participants paint what inspires them and learn techniques they are most interested in. Several of her original paintings are featured in the new MBTB space along with her notecards, mounted prints, matted prints, posters and mixed media pieces, all of which are available for purchase.
Hours of operation will be 12pm to 9pm Wednesday and Thursday, 12pm to 10pm Friday and Saturday and 12pm to 6pm Sunday. MBTB is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for special events.
