After three months of design, the Villa Montclair project will be publicly reviewed tonight by the Auburn Hills Planning Commission.
The 55+ active adult community proposed by the Moceri Companies, located at 3995 N. Squirrel Road, will provide 88 detached luxury condominium homes in response to the City’s growing senior population. The overall investment is estimated at $17.5 million.
Each home will include an assortment of age-friendly amenities such as wider doorways, adequate maneuvering space in kitchens and bathrooms, switches and handles that are easier to reach and operate, and slide-out shelves. Additional amenities found outside the home include a network of sidewalks for a walkable community, walking trails that meander through the 11 acres of preserved open space, a community garden, and a clubhouse with pool, spa, and exercise room.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearing tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on this project is expected to be made by City Council on Monday, February 22, 2016.
Upon approval, construction is expected to begin this Fall.
