Atlas Copco Celebrates New Facility

One of the best parts of my job is attending ribbon cuttings.  I love hearing about why companies choose to do business in Michigan and I have to admit that when they say they deliberately chose Auburn Hills, I still get goosebumps.

On Monday, Atlas Copco officially dedicated their new $13 million United States Headquarters for their Tools and Assembly Division at 3301 Cross Creek Parkway in the Oakland Technology Park.

Founded in 1873, this Swedish business provides products and services such as compressed air and gas equipment, construction and mining equipment, industrial tools and assembly systems.  Their new Auburn Hills facility will employ over 225 people.

Anders Hoberg, General Manager, Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems, LLC recently said, “Our expansion into a new, larger facility supports the strong growth and increased demand for Atlas Copco’s tooling and assembly systems.  Auburn Hills is our home and this new facility is a sign of our continued commitment to our employees and customers in the Detroit region.”

We appreciate that Atlas Copco has chosen to reinvest in Auburn Hills and we look forward to their continued growth and success!
