This Saturday morning, May 30th, Auburn Hills is home to a 5K run sponsored by the Hope Water Project – a team of people doing amazing things.
Have you ever heard of the Pokot people? They are a beautiful, hospitable and resilient people in Western Kenya. They are also extremely impoverished, neglected and marginalized, which is why Hope Water Project is committed to investing in their lives by providing them with fresh water, one well at a time.
Over 3,000 people have joined the Hope Water Project team and participated in marathons to help raise funds. As a result, over 70,000 people in Kenya now have access to clean water.
Online registration is open until 8pm this evening for $30 or you can register at the event Saturday morning beginning at 6:30am for $40. The start and finish is at the Delphi parking lot off of University Drive just east of I-75. The run begins at 8:00am.
This Saturday morning, lace up your running shoes for a great cause. It’s only 3.1 miles! You can do it!
