Faurecia’s Construction in the Home Stretch

Posted by – Elizabeth Brennan, Executive Assistant

We’re happy to report that construction on Faurecia’s new North American Headquarters, located on High Meadow Circle in the Oakland Technology Park, is in the final stages of completion.  Faurecia is the fifth largest automotive supplier in the world.

The general contractor, General Development Company, broke ground on the $24 million project in early May 2013 and they anticipate wrapping up final inspections within two weeks.  With furniture installation beginning soon, occupancy is not far off.

This project is just another example of how the City of Auburn Hills has partnered with the business community to create new jobs and growth.  The development construction process was textbook in “radical hospitality.”  It took the City only 41 days to review and approve the project and now less than one year later this huge building will be complete.  A process that would have taken twice as long in many parts of the country.

In a global economy, where speed, flexibility, certainty, and trust are key factors that influence a company’s decision where to invest tens of millions of dollars – you must deliver on your promises and Auburn Hills did!

We can celebrate this achievement because, together as a team, we helped this company grow and succeed.
