This weekend’s wild snow storm and the “polar vortex” have caused the cancellation of tonight’s City Council meeting. Thus, the study session planned for 5:30 p.m. tonight to discuss oil and gas drilling has been cancelled and is anticipated to be rescheduled for later this month.
The topic of oil and gas drilling has caused a lot of interest over the past few months from residents who want to stay informed, protect their property values, and preserve the character of their neighborhood.
The following article about the subject, Residents Concerned About Oil, Gas Prospecting in Auburn Hills, was published in the Oakland Press this past Sunday.
City leaders look forward to diligently working through the complicated issues and challenges related to such drilling over the next few months. Stay tuned for updates on the topic.
