There may be a lot of snow on the ground and the sky is gray, but Spring’s not far away. In about a month or so, warmer weather will arrive and we’ll be able to enjoy the City’s most cherished asset … the Clinton River.
Did you know that the Clinton River is part of a larger ecosystem called a watershed? Interested in learning how you can help the watershed stay clean and healthy? Well, perhaps you should attend the Volunteer River Rally 2013 on Wednesday, March 6th at the Rochester Mills Brewery. The event starts at 6:00 p.m.
The River Rally is an annual kick-off event for the Clinton River Coldwater Conservation Project designed to generate public support for the watershed as a valued recreational resource through efforts to improve the water quality and aesthetics of the river. The City of Auburn Hills has been a partner on this worthy project for years.
So, if you wish to improve the environment, have a passion for fly fishing, enjoy the great outdoors, or don’t mind getting your hands dirty this cause is perfect for you!
Click here to learn more about the River Rally. The cost is $15.00, which includes dinner. Space is limited, so we highly recommend registering today.
