I have to admit that Iām a little partial to Meijer.Ā Ā They are a Michigan-based company and haveĀ terrific stores.Ā Being vegan, I especially love their variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.Ā My familyĀ shops there weekly for groceries.
MeijerĀ is an American success story.Ā Many are not aware thatĀ the companyĀ is credited with being the first āhypermarketā store in the United States.Ā A hypermarket is a retail establishment that combines a supermarket and a department storeĀ all under one roof.Ā These superstores are designed to satisfy all of a customerās shopping needs inĀ a singleĀ trip ā savingĀ people bothĀ time and money.
We wanted to let folks know that aĀ new serviceĀ is being added to the Meijer SuperstoreĀ at 800 Brown Road.Ā Construction is expected to be completeĀ by the third week in JuneĀ for The Optical Shop.Ā It will be locatedĀ adjacent to the Great Clips Hair Cut SalonĀ in the front of the store.
Vision Center at Meijer Set to Open in Mid-June
The Optical Shop is owned by an outside company called US Vision, which hasĀ a license from Meijer to operate withinĀ its stores.Ā This additional serviceĀ will allowĀ MeijerĀ to provide exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses at discounted prices for its patrons.
So, now you canĀ fill up your car with gas, buy groceries and merchandise, pick up your drug prescriptions,Ā get your hair cut, do your banking, andĀ have your eyes checked ā allĀ at one place.
Meijer keeps innovating.Ā It will be interesting to see whatĀ services they add next.
