Last night, the Auburn Hills City Council authorized the Rochester Soccer Club (RSC) to construct an outdoor soccer complex south of Dutton Road, between Bald Mountain and Squirrel Roads.
RSC offers soccer programs for kids pre-school age up to high school. It is an exciting project as the 34-year old non-profit organization chose Auburn Hills to build their first private facility.
The complex will be located on the eastern part of the former Kensington Church site. It is an ideal project for the City as it will help maintain the rural feel of the Northeast Corner Neighborhood; in addition to providing a much needed service for the region.
Construction is expected to start this year. The fields are anticipated to open in Fall 2013.
